511. VanessaD : My father April 1968 and uncle 1966 were adopted at birth in st asaph through the church to my grandparents Mr and Mrs Davies from Tregarth.
The only information we have is, the birth mother was 16 when having my uncle and 18 with my father out of wedlock with the same bio father.
513. Mjagr : My mum was born Sheila Warwick on September 19th, 1940, in Newport, Wales. She was a twin, and her sister’s name at birth was Shirley Warwick. I am searching for my mum’s twin, Shirley Warwick at birth. The twins were adopted separately. My mum was adopted by Douglas and Frieda Taylor, and raised in North London. The birth mother was Dorothy Iris Warwick, of Commercial Rd., Newport, who was born in 1923 to Gladys Mabel Warwick (nee Millington) and Herbert James Warwick. She later married and became Dorothy Dixon, and had a son, Edward Dixon. I was able to locate Edward Dixon, however his mum, Dorothy passed away in 1999 (the same year as my mum), and had not told her husband or family that she had had the twins prior to marriage and that they were adopted. I also was able to find a relative of Gladys Mabel Millington, the granddaughter of her brother, Ernest Millington. He has since passed away, but his wife recalls the adoption. No one that I have found has any information regarding the adoption. My mum’s adoptive mother, Frieda Taylor, passed away when my mum was 8, and her adopted father Douglas Taylor passed away in 1965. No one in the Taylor family has any information on the adoption either. I would dearly love to find my mum’s sister, but seem to have met a dead end. I live in Canada, and it is challenging. I did a DNA test and got no close matches. I would appreciate any help you could provide.
