380. Alancook1942 : Searching for my father’s real father ‚ his mother Irene Cook gave birth to him in mother and baby home in Abergavenny in 1942 and his grandparents brought him up under the name Alan Leslie cook .
The father was a local man ‚ already married and used to travel on the same bus from the Blackwood area to the Alcan factory every day where dad’s mum also worked back in the 1940s .
No information is known and Irene when she was alive didn’t want to reveal the man’s name but had said this man used to try and see my dad a few times but dads adopted dad ( his grandfather ) used to refuse any attempted visits .
DNA for my father has not shown any obvious links so far
