He was adopted by Joan and Charlie Carter in Manchester approx 1948.

I was told that when my son was 5 years old he changed his name to Barry?????. A 5year old wouldn’t think of something like that. I was told that my son lives in Wigan. She was born in Hope Hospital in Salford. I believe she as adopted through the Catholic adoption agency (no longer exists) but how long after birth I am not sure. All birth records were taken away after the birth was registered.
