I have never wanted to look for my birth family, but due to ill health I would like to meet relatives soon, or hear from them. I am originally from Derbyshire, around the Buxton/Shefflied area. My adopted parents house was Sunnyside, Thorne Hill, Bamford Nr Sheffield - that is where I was adopted to. Unfortunately both parents are now dead so I am looking for family without documentation or any information. Please get in touch, it would be great to hear from you. John

8. Louise64 : I would like to find my birth mother . She called me Laura at birth and I was registered as having been born in Stockport‚ Manchester. I am now Sarah Louise‚ known as Louise.
9. Louise64 : I was adopted by a couple who shortly moved to Liverpool after my adoption and then when I was ten we moved to Australia. I believe my birth mother called me Laura.
10. Natt12321 : I’m here searching for a half sister who was given up for adoption when my mother was young and I never found out about until my aunt produced a family tree a couple of years ago. It wasn’t until recently that I considered the internet as a means to find her.
11. TML1976 : We are looking for Jennifer Denise Whitcombe (as per birth certificate). My beautiful nan had a daughter between the birth of my dad and my uncle. She said giving Jennifer up was the hardest thing she ever did and wishes so much that the circumstances at the time were different so she was able to keep her daughter. She said her daughter was born two months premature and only weighed 4 pounds 6 ounces and developed bronchial pneumonia at about 3 months old. She was adopted out through a clinic nurse to a "lovely couple" so the nurse said. Nan only realized much later that this is not how legitimate adoptions were carried out. In anycase‚ this happened on january 4 1955. We have a lovely family and all of us would love to find her. It would mean everything to my nan‚ who is such a great lady and one of my best friends.
12. Mimimimi86amy : Looking for my half twin brother’s born in Bristol, UK in the late 1970’s.
13. WPFalk : I was adopted in April 1968 and contacted my birth mother 8 years ago and met her once. She has a daughter who is 10 years my junior and a young grandchild but understandably didn’t want me to make contact as her family didn’t know about me at all. I’d love to meet my birth father but he doesn’t want to acknowledge that I exist. He lives in Houston‚ America still with the family he had when he had an affair with my birth mother! I have two half brothers (twins)‚ apparently. I’m not interested in an extended family at all‚ but would like to meet blood relatives occasionally‚ just because they are part of me. It is hard being ’rejected’ twice... but I won’t search these siblings out because it’s not fair to disrupt lives unnecessarily.
14. John2269 : I am looking for my biological parents for details regarding medical history. Though at the age of 42 I am naturally curious to meet my birth mother‚ I have had a very pleasant and happy upbringing with a loving family‚ so happy to stay anonymous if that is preferred. I was born John Hickey. I’m married with 2 children. Any connection would be welcomed. Kindest regards‚ John.
