Her birth certificate lists the father as Martin Wilson. Her birth mother was Gertrude Emily Cheshire. I have been unable to find any evidence of Alfreda's parents being married.

Their father also Albert Edward Newby ( deceased) took them back out of care apart from Freda Beryl who was put up for adoption. The other sister Margaret passed away some years back . My father is keen to know what happened to Freda.
