Apparently social services approached my father and his wife (my mother) and a payment of $1000 was made towards their adoption. The mothers may have been from the Kamsack Reserve‚ but I am not sure. The last of the 3 boys was brought home to our house for a short period before being adopted as well. I don’t have many other details than this.

He was born on October 3‚ 1957‚ and adopted by a couple living in Winnipeg (where he would be raised). His original birth certificate was destroyed‚ and his adoptive parents were very defensive about the details of his adoption and refused to disclose any information other than the location of his birth and that his given name had been Eugene.
