A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Rhode Island Who Chose To Be Featured
166. 1965Ramona : My birth mother’s name was Diane P. Carufel, I found her in 1991 but she had passed away. Info from adoption agency said my father was 21 at the time of my birth (11/20/65), the youngest of 2 sons, born and raised in Texas. He had joined the Navy after high school and I think he must have been stationed here in R.I. Adoption agency records indicate he was of ’austrian/bohemian’ heritage and Protestant. He was 6’1" with dark hair and blue eyes. Vibrant, confident and excelled in sports.

168. JT143xo : Hi, my name is Jaime Tierney.. my biological last name was Drury, & I am looking for any information on my sister who was born in Providence, RI to our mother, Dorothy Virginia Schobel, & given the name Kelly Sean Schobel. Our mother had 4 children in all, & the first 3 were put up for adoption myself, Kelly, & our sister, Dee Dee (whom I’m already in contact with)... all of these adoptions were conducted right here in our home state. Since being adopted, both Dee Dee & myself stayed right here in RI, raised here, & continue to live here in state, so I would like to assume Kelly & her adopted family, are not too far either. Thanks!!

174. Zabbiegirl78 : Looking for my half brother (related through my dad). My half brother was named Steven David (after our father) and his mother was Debbie or Deborah Mann. I was told that he was given up for adoption around the age of 2 years old‚ possibly to a distant family member. Deborah Mann has a sister named Deanna Mann. I was told that my half brother’s birth date would be around Sept 1976. I think my half brother was born in Utah but could be wrong. I have no other siblings and would love to find you!
175. Tgannon1423 : My name is Tierney Gannon. I am looking for my half-sister who was born in April 1995. Her parents are Patrick M. Gannon and Abigail L. Haw (now Phelps), who met at Morehead Staate University. I do not know my sister’s name since all documents that I have access to only list her as "Baby Girl Haw" or "Haw."
177. Egyptbottom : Here is what I know: My Father was adopted from a Orphanage in Newport, RI and was adopted in Newport, KY to a family named Fred W. Diehm. What year he was adopted I do not know I found a Census 1940 that had him listed in Newport, KY.
