I know my Birth Mother handed me to my adopted mother‚ and said "I hope he will be a good boy." when she handed me over‚ crying‚ according to my adoptive mother.
I think I was adopted through the Church of England [Childrens’ Society??]‚ and as far as I know‚ my adoptive parents collected me in London‚ but lived on Merseyside.
