365. 64mark : My mother Jane O’Neill‚ DOB 12/11/1931 has recently told me that she gave birth to a child in 1959 in Holles Street Dublin. My aunt was with her at the birth. Neither of them remember the month or day that the baby was born‚ and the baby was taken immediately from my mother so she does not even know the gender.
Mam is now 93 and in a Nursing Home‚ and it is really bothering her that she never found out what happened to her child. (She also gave birth to a child in similar circumstances in 1951 but I will send that request in separately). Mam has given me her hair to send in the hope that her son or daughter may be seeking their birth mother and that she could meet him/her before she dies.

I was placed in foster care at 3 days old and adopted at 8 months old.
Adoption went through St. Johns Adoption Society‚ Waterford.
My mother had another son about a year after me. So he would be born maybe 1980 or 1981. He was also placed for adoption.
I have siblings born before me too‚ but I don’t think they were adopted.
