We believe she was adopted by a Doctor and his wife and possibly moved to Scotland?
We also believe that she did contact her mother years ago and met in England. She has also tried to trace her routes in Ireland and unfortunately had the door closed in her face.
We would like to try and make contact. We only found out about her existence 2 years ago. We are based in England.
205. Maryhaydon : I am searching for my brother. He would have been born & adopted between 1954-1960 in Dublin. He searched & found our birth mother in the mid 2000’s but she refused to acknowledge him. She left me when I was 3 yrs old and refused to accept me despite seeing me at family gatherings several times throughout my life. It was only confirmed to me recently that I have an older brother. Without a name or date of birth it is almost impossible to search. I may now have a name and dob for him... just can’t be sure. I don’t know what else I can do apart from keep searching somehow. Our birth mother was Mary Theresa EGAN From Tipperary.
I FOUND HIM… sadly deceased but his son and extended family are amazing. They have embraced and accepted me and we are all in contact.
