331. Markawhelan : I. Am trying to find the foster/ adoption records of my father‚ Robert Whelan.
332. Jeanniemac55 : My aunt Teresa (Cooney) McDonald has asked for my help in finding information about her birth parents. She was born in a mother and baby unit in Dublin. Adopted some 4 years later having stayed in the home although the mother apparently left in 1938. My aunt now lives in Adelaide Australia and has asked for my help. She did write to the home some years ago but received a letter telling her they had no information. Could you point me in the right direction please of how to go about this. thank you Jean (McDonald) Tarr
333. Gracekerley : My father was adopted in 1968 in Dublin and moved to Co Louth‚ I am in search of my grandparents or any other family member of which might be also looking for us. I have little to no details and would love to find out more.
334. Lob77 : My birth mother was Breda Keogh from Ridge Road‚ Portlaoise‚ Co. Laois. Breda was born on April 7th‚ 1949 and sadly died in the UK in 2016.
I was one of five children Breda placed for adoption‚ before marrying in 1978.
Four of these five birth siblings‚ incl myself‚ now have contact with each other.
However‚ we only recently became aware of a 5th baby/birth sibling.
The reason we were not connected with this man (by preference register) is that the details Breda gave were slightly different to details she’d given for other births (like address etc).
All we know is that this man was born in 1975 in an Irish hospital (Dublin we think) and now resides outside of Ireland. We’d just love to find this man and say hello.
335. Norab0586 : Looking for my niece‚ named rebecca
Adopted roughly 2008/2009. Would love to try and get in contact.
She would refer to my sister as her tummy mummy.
She has lived in Dublin all her life. We are from the West of the country.
338. SarahNangle : Me and my twin brother were born in Wexford hospital in February 1983 and shortly after moved to St Patrick Guild in Dublin where we were adopted in May 1983.
341. AMOK : Michelle (AnnMarie O’Brien was her birth name) was born in Newry‚ Co Down on Nov 22nd 1967. She was adopted through St Patrick’s Guild in Dublin and believed to have grown up in Ireland. Believed to have moved to the UK .
I understand that she made contact with St Patrick Guild at one point but the nuns would not give any information.
I tried to find Michelle through Barnardos but while she was found to be living in the Uk (2017) sadly she did not wish for contact at that time. I would really like her to know that she has siblings and her birth mother is still alive. I hope she is well and would love to contact her if she would like that too.
343. Mjr2024 : As far as I know my half sister was born to my mother Brigid (Breda) when she was very young. My adopted sister would possibly be named Victoria and moved to New York. Possibly in the medical field.
344. Melissa_Cleary25 : Her born name is Serene/Serena but her adoptive name is Joan Grace Crowley. She was born in hollestreet hospital in Dublin. Her adoptive parents are Gina and Cornelius. They adopted her and lived in Lucan for a number of years. Born in 83 but adopted in 84
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
