A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Dublin Who Chose To Be Featured
226. Aine80 : I am currently looking for my half sibling. As far as I am aware he was a twin. The other male may have died shortly after death? Our biological mother is not very forthcoming on information so this is all I have. This adoption was definitely dealt with a Dublin firm of Solicitors. He may have been called Niall or Liam at birth.
228. Helensmith891 : I was born in St Rita’s Nursing home Dublin 6. My mother’s name is Gabrielle, born either 1945 or 1946. Lived and still lives in her family home somewhere in Dublin. Is married with 3 or 4 children. I was taken from St Rita’s at 2 days old and was christened in Donnybrook Church before been taken to St Patrick’s Guild in Blackrock. I was given the name Therese, I don’t know if that is my birth name or name given at christening. I was adopted at 4 weeks old .
229. Migallagher : Hi, I was born in Dublin, 17th Oct 1970 & baptised in St Kevin’s Church & was adopted from Temple Hill, Blackrock. I dont know any more info than that. Looking for my birth mother
230. Janetssr : I am searching for Carmel my birth mother. I was born on November 23rd 1976 in the Rotunda Hospital Dublin. My given name was Stephanie.
231. Ogareth1 : I began the process with CUNAMH in 2008 trying to find my birth mum. I was born on the Navan road, like so many others.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks.
232. Joannemariekelly : My mother was named Kathleen Josephine Gallagher I was adopted 1945 Mary gallagher I was born jubilee hospital belfast my date birth is 5.8.1945
234. Siobhan1 : Hi I’ve a friend that was born in Rotunda hospital Dublin, 11/01/1938, his mother was called Teresa dunne and he was sent to Donegal on the train, I know his birth mother is probably passed but if there is any relatives out there .. this would be so nice for him, on his birth certificate his name was Donald Angus, he was adopted by a family in the name of McLaughlin
237. MichaelRyder : I was born on 10th May 1963 in St Jude’s nursing home run by Una Doody (deceased) at 332BA Howth Road and was illegally adopted by my adoptive parents (Enda and Breda Ryder) via a connection with the Carmelites at that time. My birth cert only shows the details of my adoptive parents. I did manage to obtain the attached excerpts from the register of the nursing home which also provides the names of my adoptive parents (albeit with some changes to their first names). I do have some recollection that a Dr De Valera may have had some involvement in the process from a conversation with my adoptive mother (now deceased) a long time ago although the name on the register appears as Reg Coughlin.
238. Orlagh66 : I know i was born in St Patricks Mother & Baby home Navan Road Dublin & adopted through St Patricks Guild.
I was born on 08-09-1966 and adopted at 10 days old. It seems my mother was not from Dublin she was approx 24 years old I have no other information & no information at all about my birth Father.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
