10. Sandraodonovan : My Mothers name is Fionnghuala O’Connell from Tralee Co. Kerry‚ she gave birth to a boy who she called Eoghan at the time‚ in England where she stayed with the nuns. He was born on the 1st of January 1969. She came back to Ireland and put him up for adoption in the following March. She has tried to find him over the years with no success. We as a family would love nothing more than to find my brother. Circumstances at the time meant she had to put him up for adoption but I know that she thinks of him every day. A Doctor Cross in a private clinic in Fitzwilliam Square Dublin took care of the adoption by contacting my adoptive parents to ask if they were interested. They had adopted earlier from the same contact. They were from Longford.
I recently found a first cousin and learned that my father was probably Phil Doherty from Gleneely in Donegal‚ living in Dublin‚ having graduated from Trinity College in 1963. I don’t believe he knew he was a father.

My birth mother’s name is/was Elizabeth Buckley and she was approximately 21 when she gave birth to me. I have been told that I have a sibling, most likely a boy, who was born two years before me, and was adopted from the same place, St Patrick’s Home in Dublin, but he was adopted to the United States. I have been told his name is/was John. I have found my own birth certificate in central records in Dublin, but I could not locate "John’s".
