169. Franbo60 : Hilary was born in November 1941. She was adopted by a family called Burt in May 1942 - they lived in Storrington, West Sussex. Hilary married in 1969/70 and lives in Henley on Thames, UK. She has 2 sons - Stephen and Martin. Hilary’s adopted daughter, Fran, has done Ancestry DNA and it shows that there is strong Irish heritage, so potentially Hilary’s birth parent(s) were from Ireland. Hilary has had limited contact with her adopted daughter via an intermediary, but does not want to continue contact probably due to her family not being aware she had a daughter adopted before she married (and her daughter is mixed race - the father being from Tanzania).

170. Jeanblaney : Looking for the brother I never met but rember mum being pregnant and feeling him kick in her , I was excited to meet the new baby but never did as he was adopted. I was 3 or 4 years old and my parents never spoke about him until I was almost 30 when I finally asked . I was told that he was a boy and they named him Ian . Mum said she thought of him everyday but sadly she never saw him again and has now passed away . I can’t stop wondering if he has looked for his birth mum and if he has unanswered questions. I hope he has had a good childhood and has been safe and well throughout his life. I would love to meet him

My goal is to find his BM or BF and to actually have a surname that belongs to us. Not the adopted one. My Dad did try to find information from my grandparents but was refused any information regarding his birth or bm. He had nothing and this ended his search. Through the years the law has changed. But unfortunately my Dads circumstances changed and this is why I want to finish his journey on his behalf
