160. Annemariesmith1983 : Hello I’m looking for my son Owen Edward Smith, born in Brighton on 4.4.99 if you see this I would love to hear from you.. annemarie xx
161. MaiMhambo : Birth father Colin HORSFIELD [DNA verified] - served British Army 27+ years from c1959 in various postings including overseas & latterly in Special Forces. BUT eventually based in / retired to Preston Lancashire. Has known legitimate children and his wife believes him have 5+ illegitimate children, some adopted [like myself] and some not [like my DNA identified half sibling] - so there are at least 3 others ’out there’. The online form only allows a limited range of years but quite simply these children could be born into the 1980s. So very general and not very helpful overview.
163. Emma-louise : Hi , I’m looking for my dads birth /natural family , obviously to know where we originate from , history and if wanted contact would be incredible I myself have 5 daughters I have a brother and a sister also with children and we’ve including my dad have wondered for years about our natural heritage on his side .
My dad was born 2/09/1955 - registered in Surrey but adoption was finalised in Horsham West Sussex
164. KerrieG : My name is Patricia‚ I am trying to find my half sister . Her birth name was Sheila Ann Margaret Sharpe born 8th March 1951 in West Bridgeford Nottingham and her birth Mother was Mary Emily Thomas and Father was Stan Sharpe
Sheila and I share the same Birth Mother but different Father’s.
I am 73yrs and Sheila is 70yrs we were both born in Nottingham and both of us were adopted .
It would mean so much to meet her as we have never met each other.
Kindest Regards
165. Franbo60 : Hilary was born in November 1941. She was adopted by a family called Burt in May 1942 - they lived in Storrington, West Sussex.
Hilary married in 1969/70 and lives in Henley on Thames, UK. She has 2 sons - Stephen and Martin.
Hilary’s adopted daughter, Fran, has done Ancestry DNA and it shows that there is strong Irish heritage, so potentially Hilary’s birth parent(s) were from Ireland.
Hilary has had limited contact with her adopted daughter via an intermediary, but does not want to continue contact probably due to her family not being aware she had a daughter adopted before she married (and her daughter is mixed race - the father being from Tanzania).
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
