A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Warwickshire Who Chose To Be Featured
331. Marcia25 : Mother of adopted is claris father is Mr largie. All lived in Birmingham
333. Cherrington1955 : My late mother Greta Phylis Mellor Jones gave birth in 1951‚ Father unknown. Adoption took place from a Catholic Children’s Home where my mother worked.
We only found out about the birth after my mother died. The baby was a secret only known to close members of the family. The baby was registered as Anita Olive Mellor Jones. On investigation we were able to obtain a birth certificate and talking to local social services they knew about the adoption but unable to give any information due to data protection.
338. Gabby_h : Searching for information for my father-in-law who was adopted in England. Paul (my father-in-law) was put into a foster home around 18 months of age then adopted when he was 5. His birth father’s name was Roger Cripps‚ birth mothers name Jill (we think). Wondering if Paul has any other family out there.
339. GlynWin : I am searching on behalf of a friend who had her daughter on the 18th August 1968 in a mother and Baby Home in Buckrose‚ East Riding of Yorkshire. She was only 15 herself and had no option but to have her little girl adopted. She nursed her for 6 weeks before she was taken from her. She has never forgotten her‚ nor have I
340. CJLynch : Searching for a cousin‚ likely to have been born in Warwickshire in 1965 or 1966. Mother’s surname was Cleary father’s surname was Lynch
343. LaurenOlivia : I came across adoption records for a child that was adopted into our family by my great aunt Noreen (Nora) Pegg and her Husband Jim (James Pegg) in the process of clearing my grandparents house (Ralph & Evelyn Corfield). Nora was my grandads (Ralph) aunt. My grandparents kept lots of documents when my great aunt Nora passed away including the adoption record and birth certificate of a James Leslie Pegg (B: 25th Feb 1945). The story goes in my family that James Leslie ran away as a teenager and never came back in contact or was found by Nora and Jim. I also found Nora’s will where she had stated that she had wanted James to be found - he never was. After searching i now believe James Leslie Pegg passed away in 1995 - so my mission here it not to find James but maybe find out what happened to him and maybe where he came from‚ I think his name was changed when adopted at the age 1 due to his last name on his (reissued?) birth certificate being Pegg. The adoption record states he was adopted 25th September 1946 and it was registered on 17th October 1946.
344. Xbxb1 : I’m searching for my mother’s first child. I recently found out from a family that my mother had a child before I was born who she gave up for adoption. Our birth mothers maiden name was Debra (debbie) Prince and she was born in London
345. JonathanRobinsonUK : My name when I was adopted was Jonathan Robinson it has since changed to the surname of my adopted parents. I believe I was adopted when I was 6 weeks old. I believe I was born at the maternity hospital in Stratford Upon Avon‚ possibly the hospital in Tiddington‚ Warwickshire. I believe this hospital was where single mothers were encouraged to give birth and that many of the newborns were adopted.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
