627. Violetevelynrose96 : Biological Mother - Sarah Jane Warren was her birth name. Biological Father - John Owen Craft
Siblings are me Violet‚ Carrie‚ Amber‚ Sunday‚ Michael. My adopted sister was born at the QEQM Hospital in Margate‚ My adopted sisters name who I’m trying to find is Patricia Sain Rhiannon Craft at birth but her last name would have changed post adoption. We grew up in Thanet district until we were moved and separated into foster families. Patricia was adopted not too long before she turned 3 years old. She meant everything to us meaning her sisters and biological mother Sarah and it was heartbreaking for us especially as me and Patricia other sisters were children ourselves so we had no say in the matter. We were moved from our homes as we were in danger by our biological father who is no longer alive as passed in 2016. So we are safe from him now. If we were babies or Patricia’s age at the time we would have also likely been adopted but I was 12 amber was 14 and Carrie was 15 so it’s much harder to adopt kids our age. Patricia as a baby and toddler had the most beautiful and brightest fiery red hair and light brown eyes well light in comparison to my dark brown eyes. She was my first ever sibling where I became a big sister. I loved every second I got to spend with her. She turned 18 on the 14th September 2024 and is now at the age where she could choose to try and find us. We were told e we would get letterbox contact once a year where we would recieve a photo and update but after 6 months post adoption the adoptive family decided to not continue this as it was up to her as it was her child which really hurt as it wasn’t us kids fault that she was adopted. So we shouldn’t have been cut out. But I couldn’t do anything about it. After all I was only 12 almost 13 at the time. I always wonder how she is doing‚ what she looks like now‚ what she has achieved‚ what her dreams‚ interests and hopes are. I just hope she known how much her biological mum and her biological sisters love her and miss her.
628. Pamela1952 : Adoption happened at St. Faiths Mother and Baby Home‚ 1 Lower Fort Road‚ Bearsted‚ Maidstone‚ Kent.
Baby’s name at time of Birth was Dawn Strong.
Birth date: 11th April 1972‚
Registration of Birth: 20th April‚ 1972
Adoption Records are held at Lambeth Palace Library
630. Bottrillbengey04 : I am trying to trace my fathers ancestry. His father was Charles Ernest Bengeyfield formerly Charles Ernest Allen before adoption (his Christian names may be reversed). He is believed to have been born in 1902 in Basingstoke‚ Hampshire‚ although he could have been born in 1900. He died in July 1963. The 1911 Census shows Charles Allen at age 8 as a visitor to Louis Bengeyfield of 26 Morgan Road‚ Bromley‚ Kent so we assume his adoption took place after 1911 but before 1919 when he enlisted in the Royal Tank Corp aged 17. He has a previous regiment of 13th Hussars but little has been found of this. I am looking to find out about what happened to his mother and father and why he was adopted.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
