A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within North Dakota Who Chose To Be Featured
361. DLWOLFF : I was born in Devils Lake ND, and have been told I was adopted within a month of birth through the catholic church. Don’t know if the church part is true, as my adoptive parents are not or were catholic.
362. MTHarleyGirl : He was born on 5/1/1924 in Baker‚ Montana. His name at birth was Merril. I don’t know if he was given up for adoption or if he passed away the first year. I do know that he was alive at birth.
363. Tedijensen : My mom‚ Sharon‚ gave a baby girl up for adoption in Fargo‚ North Dakota. December of 1963. I am unsure of the day. Adoption agency was Lutheran social services. She named the baby girl robin jo. My mom’s last name was Sorenson‚ I am unsure as to what last name is on the birth certificate. Mom was working as a medical transcriber at St. Luke’s hospital (?) in Fargo‚ ND.
365. Rook47 : I’m the cousin of Sarah Emmons (Rook) looking for her birth parents to add to our family tree. She was adopted by Rick and Lori Rook when she was an infant.
366. Helpingdnamatches : I am searching on behalf of an adoptee .Looking for a woman who was adopted and lived in California during her mid 20’s, who then placed a daughter for adoption in January 1979 in California. The child (a daughter) was born in Long Beach. She believes that she was born baby girl Beaumont and that her mother was born in the mid 1950’s. She also believes her father was Navy. Both the adoptee and myself have done DNA testing for this search (we are related as well). I have a couple of families that are DNA related but have been unable to narrow results because of the multiple adoptions.
367. JulieElfman : Adopted via Catholic Services out of Fargo, ND. Mother was between 19 and 20 years old. Father was around the same age. They were not married.
368. Erikc716 : Son of the in question . I’m 25 and looking to find out the origins of my father’s side for my own knowledge possibly as far as health issues and etc..
371. Sky2004 : I’m the mother to the adopted child’s half sister and I’m trying to help her locate her half brother. They obviously have the same father.
The adopted boy, Mason, was adopted shortly after his mother gave birth. She didn’t want a reminder of her affair with my husband (ex husband now). She told me she was giving Mason to her cousins whom lived outside of Illinois (where we all live) in a different state. I don’t remember the state she told me tho because that was 12-13 years ago.
I think my daughter deserves to know her one and only step sibling. And she wants to know him, too!
When college time comes along for both of them, I don’t want them to meet and fall in love and end up finding out too late that they are siblings. Mason’s mother, Mandy, shouldn’t want that either.
I think Mandy is afraid that if I find Mason, I will tell him about his real dad and what a narcissist he is and that Mandy doesn’t want her son to ever meet his birth father.
372. CF32 : I had twin girls. Birth names were Alexis Nicole Lamb, and Valerie Rose Lamb. The adopted names changed to Samantha Winkler, and Allison Winkler. I lived in Casselton ND at the time. Their adopted family lived in Moorhead MN. The adoption was chosen to be open then after the first year they changed it to closed.
373. Madddiedean : My dad was adopted. But we think that he was a child that was born with the last name of his adopting parents, because one of the family members son wasn’t able to be a parent. And they adopted him to save the young man from getting married because of the pregnancy.
We also believe that he may have other siblings as well. My dad had dark black hair and very blue eyes. Stood about 6 foot tall.
Thank you for any help you may have.
375. KZ1234 : Her name is Capri (was Amy at birth) I don’t know the birth date, so I am guessing, but I’m hoping to find my sister. Mother is Diane and Father is Larry. She was born in North Dakota and is my half sister. I really want to meet her.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
