506. PaulD3713 : HAMPSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL DEALT WITH THE ADOPTION‚ OF CHRISTOPHER-DAVID‚ AND MICHELLE‚ AND THE PERSON WHO WAS INVOLVED‚ SENT ME SOME PHOTOS OF THEM‚ OF WHICH I HAVE. THE LAST I HEARD WAS THAT A COUPLE HIGH UP IN THE BRITISH NAVY HAD ADOPTED THEM BOTH AND HAD MOVED TO THE USA.
510. TabathaJayne : Hi. I’m looking for the adoption papers regarding my Grandmother Betty Pasquali Hoskins. When adopted the surname changed to Wilkins. Betty was born on the 17th September 1916 in Southampton‚ Hampshire.
On her birth certificate her parents are recorded as Harry Hoskins and Betty Grave Hoskins (nee Hoskins). Following research both names are incorrect. Mother actually being Grace Beatrice Hoskins‚ and Father Armondo Pasquali. They put Betty up for adoption when she was 5 years old. That same year Betty met her new family - Joseph Wilkins and Ethel Jenny Wilkins (nee Bates) in Desborough‚ Northamptonshire. However they only officially adopted her on the 25th October 1932 when she was 16. Betty sadly died on the 13th January 1999.
We are very keen to find information about her birth parents‚ why she was adopted so late‚ but also because we have some hereditary condition which could have come through her family line?
Thank you
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
