385. Jedmelbourn123 : My son was born in southampton Hospital to a miss Jennifer Sheppard (Dec) and Anthony Bruce Melbourn now Australia. MISS Jennifer was sent from Isle of Wight to a nunnery in Southampton to continue her pregnancy.
Anthony visited when he could but basically was not given any consideration about the child’s upbringing due to very strict parents.
He has spent many years wondering about his sons welfare.
386. Jedmelbourn123 : My Son was Born to teenage parents from the Islle of Wight, Miss Jennifer Anne was the mother and was taken to a Nunnery for the period of pregnancy, the Birth then took place at the Southampton Hospital and Baby was adopted out soon after. 388. ROBSTEWARTNEAL : My name is Robert and I am looking for my (half) sister ’Julie Anne’ (Stewart) who was reluctantly given up for adoption 17th Sept 1964 by my mother Elizabeth Stewart and her partner at the time Peter Beal later to become her husband. Her birth was registered in the Portsmouth district with ref 6B 986: St. Mary’s hospital, Portsmouth. I have no info as to who or where she may have been adopted but I’m guessing Hampshire or Sunderland. Please contact me.
390. Kanufarht : To the best of my knowledge, my mother was 14 or 15 years old at my birth , she is Scottish and was forced to move to Portsmouth where I was then adopted with approx 6 weeks old. My father apparently had to go to prison as my mum was under age. to my knowledge she the returned to Scotland. to the best of my knowledge her name was Herridge. Endinburgh. I dont know much more. What I unfortunately now know is that there is a very high possibility that I am part of this disgusting act from Government to remove children from their parents in times of difficulty or just because it was not right in their eyes for so called Illegitimate children. I am now almost 56 years old, have been lied to my whole life. Now I would really like to find truth.
yours sincerely
