154. NatalieFranklin : Our mum is/was Carol Kimber who lived in Aldershot. I’m looking for my older brother who she had to give up for adoption due to her young age and the traumatic relationship leading up to his birth.
155. TracyAustralia : I have been in contact with my biological mother in Southampton. I wish to find my biological father and his family. He was a merchant seaman from America. He was on the SS America and his name was Frank. He had a family in America and I was conceived through an affair. His name was not on my birth certificate. Thank you Tracy.
158. Jools68 : Ethel May Adams born 11th November 1900 in Dulwich London. Was resident at Orphanage of Girls, Sisters of Bethany, Springbourne, Bournemouth at the 1911 census.
159. Melissajackson : My mother "birth name Ivy" and later renamed Tracey, was adopted in England as a baby in 1961 and was moved to Australia as a young child. I am searching for family to connect with and learn more about my ancestry.
163. Cath3004 : Good evening xx
My name isCathleen and I shared a children’s home with my Cousin from 3rd May 1969 onwards until late 1970’s. The children’s home was called Hollybrook House, Seagarth Lane Southampton. I was adopted 6th Jan 1972 but Rachel remained at the home for a few more years. I know she was adopted after 1974 when Adoption Laws changed.
Rachel and I were placed in the children’s home together and we actually shared a cot at one point. We are Cousins by our Mothers. Rachel’s Mum June Rosemary Bagley at the time and her Father Alan Kenneth Bagley. Both Southampton resident at the time of her birth and Adoption. I am in contact with her siblings Karen and Richard who also share her parents and remember Rachel well as they were taken to see her at the children’s home.
I was adopted but and I’m so so keen to find her. We shared a life at the children’s home together and I really want to have a relationship with her now. Also we understand Rachel was adopted by someone who worked at the children’s home and they may, not 100%, May have emigrated to Australia late 70’s early 80’s.
I have a copy of Rachel’s original birth certificate which I can send. If you have any contact for Rachel please advise we have no contact with her birth Mother, no one does now. June is a very very difficult lady and we all detached from her including Rachel’s siblings. Rachel’s Bith dad adored her but sadly we’ve lost him now too. Before anymore of us pass we have to make sure we make every attempt to find each other. Rachel is the last piece of the jigsaw missing and we want and need her with us.
What is also like to do is find Rachel and take her to her sister Karen Bagley. Karen has lots of memories about Rachel and felt heart broken in the way in which Rachel was taken away from her. Karen recalls her mother turning up for Rachel one day when they all lived with their paternal grand parents and June took her back to the children’s home and she was never ever seen again. Karen is now 53 and Richard 51 and they want to see their baby sister who is now 49 years. They are not IT literate so I said as I shared a cot with Rachel I will oversee this search and we will do what we can to find her.
Please email or call or write to me if you need anymore information.
Thankyou for all you do for families trying to reunite.
