154. N1ckyP : I’m trying to find my father’s birth parents. He was adopted on the 14th of February 1956 in Port Elizabeth. He was told that he had been adopted by his adoptive parents (who were wonderful) at an early age. At the age of 18 he was given all the details to search for his parents‚ but out of respect for my gran he chose not to. Although he made this decision‚ he struggled with it‚ wanting to understand why he was adopted. Sadly he passed away at the age of 37‚ I’m hoping to find some information as I’d like to know more about my roots and family background. Not sure if this is still possible‚ but worth trying.
