I know my birth father’s first name is Paul. He has two deaf parents his dad is called Barry and mother is called Janet, who met as teenagers at a school for the deaf. I have read in my file that he was sporty, was doing Thai Boxing at the time and used to work as a builders labourer in Teignmouth in 1990 when he was 20 years old. He has two older brothers called Peter and Tony.
My Pre adoption name was Jamie Richards.

We have only recently learned of his birth and adoption.
We would be grateful for any information on him.

263. LucindaJane : I was born in Exeter to a young woman who was called Elizabeth Poole. She didn’t want to give me up, she named me Deborah. I was born with a white streak in my hair, on the right side. I would really like to make contact with someone from my birth family.
265. MaiMhambo : Birth father Colin HORSFIELD [DNA verified] - served British Army 27+ years from c1959 in various postings including overseas & latterly in Special Forces. BUT eventually based in / retired to Preston Lancashire. Has known legitimate children and his wife believes him have 5+ illegitimate children, some adopted [like myself] and some not [like my DNA identified half sibling] - so there are at least 3 others ’out there’. The online form only allows a limited range of years but quite simply these children could be born into the 1980s. So very general and not very helpful overview.

270. KristinaMaria1964 : My mum was born Maria Del Mar on 03/04/1965 according to her pre adoption birth certificate. She was born in a Maternity home in Devon and her Mother’s name is Josefa Cristobal Nery. I have no further details of her biological parents ad there is no father stated on the birth certificate. I would really appreciate any help or guidance as to where I might find some relatives or at least some history/background that led up to adoption. No judgment‚ no malice. Just peace and truth is all I seek xxx
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
