770. Xbxb1 : I’m searching for my mother’s first child. I recently found out from a family that my mother had a child before I was born who she gave up for adoption. Our birth mothers maiden name was Debra (debbie) Prince and she was born in London
772. JonathanRobinsonUK : My name when I was adopted was Jonathan Robinson it has since changed to the surname of my adopted parents. I believe I was adopted when I was 6 weeks old. I believe I was born at the maternity hospital in Stratford Upon Avon‚ possibly the hospital in Tiddington‚ Warwickshire. I believe this hospital was where single mothers were encouraged to give birth and that many of the newborns were adopted.
778. Larks : I know my dad fathered a child whilst my mum my was pregnant with my younger sister back in 1967‚ my sister was born 24/09/1967. We were always led to believe it was a girl but not 100% sure. He gave up all rights to the child at the time as he was married with 2 children and one one on the way‚ the child was later adopted when her mother was getting married and her partner wanted to adopt her baby as his.
The woman he got pregnant lived in Bromsgrove‚ Worcestershire‚ His name was Michael James Dalton (now deceased) I do not know the name of the mother
779. KirstineF : I was born in Grange Rescue maternity home in Moseley‚ Birmingham on 31st January 1972. My birth mother was called Florrie Christina Pottie‚ born in Glasgow but I don’t know if she lived there at the time or the family had moved to Birmingham by then.
I was adopted by a couple of doctors and I believe my mother would have been aware of this. The adoption took place in Bromsgrove County Court.
My adoptive parents have both died and I would love to meet any members of my birth family. I’m sorry it has taken me so long to begin the search. I have always been aware I was adopted but it was a very painful subject for my adoptive mother because she couldn’t have children of her own.
780. Polly1510 : I believe my son was adopted by a family in Stratford upon Avon. This was from Solihull Council.
Before my time ends would love to know if he’s happy and well. I realise he does not want to know me but if he or someone could let know anything about him. Have never stopped thinking of him.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
