We were always led to believe it was a girl but not 100% sure. He gave up all rights to the child at the time as he was married with 2 children and one one on the way‚ the child was later adopted when her mother was getting married and her partner wanted to adopt her baby as his. My birth mother was called Florrie Christina Pottie‚ born in Glasgow but I don’t know if she lived there at the time or the family had moved to Birmingham by then. I was adopted by a couple of doctors and I believe my mother would have been aware of this. The adoption took place in Bromsgrove County Court. My adoptive parents have both died and I would love to meet any members of my birth family. I’m sorry it has taken me so long to begin the search. I have always been aware I was adopted but it was a very painful subject for my adoptive mother because she couldn’t have children of her own.

780. Polly1510 : I believe my son was adopted by a family in Stratford upon Avon. This was from Solihull Council. Before my time ends would love to know if he’s happy and well. I realise he does not want to know me but if he or someone could let know anything about him. Have never stopped thinking of him.
