241. MICKD1970 : I am looking for my birth father his name is Michael Smith he is an identical twin his twins name is John Smith I think they may have been born between 1947 and 1952 (possibly born Cheshire) he apparently spent some time in a mental institute (rampton possibly) and maybe married one of the nurses from said establishment, possibly living in huyton for some time. He also had another son (at least) whom he also called Michael . My mothers name was Elaine Doyle (now deceased) and I was adopted by my grandparents at 21 months old who went on to legally adopt me in about 1974/5 in liverpool . Unfortunately these are the sparse facts I am in possession of regarding my father hence why aged 49 I still have not found him, hope you can do better, hope to hear soon, thanks.
242. Shar227 : My dad was born Bruce Webb, 16th December 1945. He was born at Ridgefields Farm, Biddulph Moor, Staffordshire. His birth mother was Mona Bailey Webb nee Battersby. The evidence suggests that he was the result of an affair with an American forces person, who was stationed somewhere in the area. This man was a person of colour and my sister and I have established dna links to African American cousins in the USA.
Dad was adopted in March 1946, possibly in Birkenhead. His name was changed to Kenneth McCabe. His adoptive parents were Billy and Lucy McCabe nee Gibson. They lived in Robinson Street, Edgeley, Stockport.
Hopefully someone can provide a bit more information such as a name or a picture.
