196. Arrie-Adoption : I am trying to help my boss find his biological parents, as well as two biological siblings (a brother and a sister). We are trying to get his vault copy of his birth certificate. But it’s an endless struggle. Here is some of the info that we have.
His birth name was: Jacobus, Daniel, Frederik Reinders (Not sure how the Reinders is spelt: Perhaps Reijnders?
He was born in Addington Hospital.
My school years were at Hillary NG (Dutch Reform Church)
I don’t think the Church exists anymore.
In earlier years my parents were in Berea?
Apparently, I have an older brother and sister.
My adoptive parents said they got me when I was around 8 months old and legally adopted me at the age 4/5.
The flat I was removed from was next to the "wheel" now known as the china mall in Durban. I think the address is 66 Ruther Street.
I heard my biological father was a boilermaker and at some stage lived in Empangeni - I also heard he passed away.
If you could assist me in how to get the process started, where to search I would very much appreciate it.
Thank you for taking the time to read my message.
202. TheresaB123 : I was adopted in Durban, Addington hospital.
I have three brothers.
Mother Jacoba Susarah Lotter(Kotie) maiden was Augustyn. Father was Casparus Jacobus Lotter. Three brothers Marius Lotter he is 50 now. Jeffrey is 58 and Deon 54.
204. LindyHeny : I am searching for any relative of my father who was born COLIN ROY RIPLEY on the 13th of July 1953 in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa.
He was adopted about 10 days after his birth.
The only information we have is the name of his birth mom which we know to be DOREEN EVANS RIPLEY. She was 18 years old at the time of his birth.
His adoptive parents, Roberta and George Spoors Carr kept the name given by his birth mother and registered him as Colin Roy Carr.
206. Sagie : I know the hospital I was born in was the Saint Augustines, my birth name is Ashwin Paul and my adoptive parents names was Mononmanee Govender and Ramsamy Govender . I also have the registrar reference number .
207. WarwickJohn : My name is Warwick Honeywill. My birth name was David Rautenbach (not sure of the spelling)
My adopted parents are John and Kathleen.
209. Nydoo24 : I was adopted into the Nydoo family of Umhlatuzana, Chatsworth. Mother gave me up the day I was born. A Dr Maharaj practitioner in Umhlatuzana managed the process. The mother was in school and her grandfather arranged it all.
210. BOXERSMITH : I’m looking for my brother who was called Boxer Smith from birth‚ from what I heard he was taken to one of the children’s home in Durban and was later adopted by a certain family‚ his name and surname might have changed‚ he could have been born around sixties and his departure to that home could have happened between his ages of 6 and 10‚ that is my estimates since I don’t have the accurate dates‚ our parents were living in Mandini‚ Kwazulu Natal which is in Sounth Africa.
This happened while we were still young and I only heard about this after the last surviving parent passed on so I don’t have accurate information about my Brother.
I would really love to connect with my Brother or his family depending on the circumstances after so may years we are apart.
Please help
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
