Her parents were divorced and after they moved to Pietermaritsburg in South Africa, she was adopted by her mothers new husband. Which we think was around 1976 to 1978. I believe he had a Scottish sounding surname. Her mom’s name was Shiela Rhodes nee Miles when she was married to my Dad. Shortly after the adoption they immigrated to Australia.

119. HelloDarren : Hi, I gave my son up in a closed adoption. I named him Darren and I am not sure if his name was changed. His adoptive parents did write to me once and sent me pictures of him. He had blonde hair and they mentioned that he had suffered quiet badly from asthma and was allergic to a lot of things as a baby :-( I have tried many times to make contact and was told his parents had divorced and had moved to Australia and had lost all contact. Over the years I tried but unless he is looking me I don’t think I will be successful.. the closed adoption doesn’t allow me any information.
