271. Jrwkemery : Hi‚ I’m told you reached out to mum‚ not sure when anywhere between 2005 & 2012 could be a little before or after. Unfortunately she rejected contact. She was living in Basingstoke. I have a feeling you may have come to Basingstoke. We likely have a very strong resemblance. I have an older and younger half brother- both look very similar. We all do! I only found out about you after - I’m sorry to say this‚ mums death.
275. Karenh99 : My brother was born Martin Whitfield to Shoana Whitfield‚ he was adopted and went to live in Seascale Cumbria. He did reaxh out to mum when we were very young but she declined to meet up. We only found out about him after her death Feb 2023
278. Emma1972 : I was born in Teeside and My family lived in Billingham. My parents were getting a divorce and my mum couldn’t keep me. I have two brothers who are 12 and eight when I was born
I have always been interested in getting to know them but I didn’t want to upset anyone.
281. Acdavis : I am helping my friend Michael find his biological father and/or his half sibling(s). Michael’s father was also adopted.
Michael’s father was likely born circa 1940‚ in or near County Durham. The adoption records state that he was placed with a moral welfare association. His first name is known to be David. He had a relationship with Michael’s mother Irene. They were both married to other people but separated. David had one child at the time of Michael’s birth in 1970. David was a petty officer in the royal navy.
I am a genetic genealogist and have found what is likely to be David’s biological parents.
Michael passed away Feb 2024 but closure is necessary for myself‚ along with Michael’s mother‚ and other relatives that have helped in the search.
282. Suesean : Looking for children of Patricia McNamara. Having found one already I am eager to find anymore siblings and put together the family that were kept apart
285. SJade_ : My father was the child of "Ethel Carr" and "Ronald Adrian Stephens". His birth name was "Glyn David Carr".
My father was born on the 6th February 1967. He was put up for adoption at 6 months old.
Ethel and Ronald were living in Camberley at the time. Ronald was a married man‚ and had a wife and 2 sons elsewhere.
Ethel was living with family when trying to raise my father‚ but due to circumstances she had to make the decision to put him up for adoption. It is believed Ethel’s sister tried to play a part and support Ethel in his upbringing.
It is believed that a few years later‚ Ethel remarried a man named "Ronald Andrews" and had 2 more children with him. We believe they are named "Simon and Julie Andrews".
We are also told that Ethel later changed her government name to "Jennifer Andrews".
We know that Ethel/Jennifer sadly passed away.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
