My mother was originally from Somerset but David’s birth was registered at Poplar‚ London. I understand that the Samaritans helped with David’s adoption and that mum went on a long heartbreaking journey to northern England with David within a month of his birth. I have no firm details but Matlock in Derbyshire‚ Chester-le-street have been mentioned.
