257. Kerryesther : I’m searching for my sister from my mother’s side. I’m unsure of her birthdate as my mother is now deceased but I think around 1956 - 1958 birth. My mother’s name was Judith Marilyn Briggs. She did not want to adopt her baby‚ she was made to. One thing she really wanted before she passed was to let her daughter know it was not her choice. I really really want to find her so I can tell her this. I don’t know where she was born as mum was sent away to give birth. But I know it was New Zealand and I think Auckland. My mother was made to put a veto on this baby and this has made it hard to find her. Even if she has passed‚ to meet any of her children etc would be great also.
258. Bowmaker : Hello we are trying to locate a half sister who was adopted. Her birth mother Noeline Hore was from Waimate and went to Auckland in March 1963‚ where she stayed in a Catholic Home in Herne Bay till she had the baby girl July ish. We understand the baby was adopted shortly after. Noeline had requested no contact from her daughter if she did want to find her. Noeline has now been gone for 8 years‚ and we would like to make contact before it is too late. She has been thought about over the years.
259. JoBo68 : J was born at the National Women's Hospital in Auckland to his 19yr old biological mother . She had moved to New Zealand from Australia 5 yrs earlier with her mother & 2 sisters. She had been a shop assistant like her sisters and also a clothing machinist. She like outdoor pursuits - horse riding‚ swimming & sports - enjoyed watching films and reading novels. She was described as being 5ft 7"‚ brown hair and brown eyes‚ oval face‚ dimples and attractive fine Italian features (maternal ancestry)
J's father was born & raised in New Zealand by his parents (father from New Zealand - died in 1973 and mother from Tonga and living in Tonga at time of J's birth). Biological father was 23 when J was born and had been divorced previously with a son and daughter born 1969 & 1972 respectively. He had a brother who was a construction worker like himself and a married sister who had 3 children
J's father was described as having distinct Polynesian features - 5ft 8"‚ medium build‚ black curly hair & brown eyes
J's parents relationship ended on discovery of her pregnancy
J has a curiosity to find his parents particularly his mum and thank her for the opportunity to have had the amazing life he has had and still has. He was brought to England as young child but has a deep connection to the country of his birth

261. Irene-Cottle : My Aunty Irene (nee Cottle) placed her little boy up for adoption in 1968. My Aunty was only 14 at the time. My cousin would be around 57 (now in 2026)‚ and I believe his name is Shane Findlay. His adoptive parents are Emma Mata Findlay and Simon Wilson Findlay. Shane's birth father's name is Ben Tova (or Tovatova). Both Irene and Ben lived in Otara on Lappington Road.
262. Irene-Cottle : I was 14 when I gave birth to my beautiful boy. I understand his adopted name is Shane Findlay. My name is Irene Cottle‚ and my father's name is Ben Tova. You were adopted by Emma Mata Findlay and Simon Wilson Findlay. I believe you have an older brother named Robert and a sister Michelle‚ who I believe may have passed away. I am desperate to find you.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
