126. SachaNaomi : My birth mother was from Samoa and possibly an overstayer in NZ working in a shoe? factory in Auckland in 1975. Her boyfriend’s name was possibly Maleko or Malaki. She lived with another young Samoan woman Merita and they both fell pregnant at the same time, giving birth in the same hospital at Henderson Auckland and giving their babies up for adoption within weeks of eachother. (I corresponded with Merita some years ago but she passed away and kept my mother’s name a secret) If the info on my birth certificate is correct (the name is false) her DOB is 09/09/54 born in Saina Western Samoa.

Her name at birth was Dianne Leith and her mothers name was Shirley Patricia Leith from Tokanui. Unsure of the circumstances of her adoption and would love some more information.

She was listed as a Technician, I believe a medical technician? She came over from there to NZ on the Oronsay Cruise Ship. She was 24 at the time from Passenger lists. I was born at The North Shore Hospital, Auckland. The name she gave me at birth was Rene Richard Joseph Goudreau, I was adopted and named Matthew Kelso Peat.

130. Alabaster : Dulcie Cook/e (nee Roebuck) is my maternal birth grandmother. She had my mother in August 1952 in Bowns Bay, Auckland. I have listed Dulcie’s birth year as 1935 but that is a educated guess only. I believe she grew up in Taranaki somewhere. I believe she had a son also tho not sure if he’s older or younger. I also think she/they are living in or have lived in Perth, Australia for many years.

The information we have is Chic-France probably born before 1965 and Roxanne-China probably born between 1969 and 1970. I have no idea how accurate this information is as it was discovered on a piece of paper after Roberts death.
