For adoptions ordered in Western Australia, adopted people, adoptive parents, birth parents,
birth relatives and descendants are able to apply for and access adoption information. Approval
for the access and release of adoption information is subject to the discretion of the Chief
Executive Officer of the Department for Child Protection.
