Mum was only 16 when John was born. I have been told that he may have been adopted by a couple who lived near Kalamunda, Midland area and that the adoptive father may have worked on the Railway in Midland. I understand that he parents adopted another son sometime after they adopted John. Some information also suggests that John had epilepsy as a child.
