I know my parents brought me home from the hospital after birth and then were persuaded to give me up. I was born with congenital scoliosis. My birth name was Natalia‚ Natasha. Many families in the late 80’s were urged to give a medically complicated child up. They would be told the child will most likely not live very long or if they do‚ they will be a burden to the family financially etc… I am 39‚ living in the United States.
