I am searching for the truth about my background and possible relatives in Colombia. According to my documents‚ I was declared abandoned on May 7‚ 2000 — a date that is strange‚ as it precedes my listed birth date. This has raised doubts about the accuracy and reliability of my records.
My parents are listed as Betty Torres Romero and Hernán Jaramillo. The documents describe a difficult life – with financial struggles‚ health issues (my mother is said to have had epilepsy)‚ and little support from my father‚ who reportedly worked a lot and was rarely present in the family. It is also suggested that he had children with multiple women and that there was some distance between him and Betty.
In 2001‚ I was placed in foster care with Nora Vázquez‚ and in 2002 I was moved to another foster home with Rosario Menos. These placements are confirmed by social worker Nancy García Villamizar.
