241. Gabriel80 : My date of birth does not match. Only years are right
244. Blanca58012 : I’m looking for my biological daughter, she was registered under the name of Milena Avila, she was born at the David Restrepo clinic at 12:30 p.m. or 1 p.m. on August 26, 1986 or 1987 In Colombia, in the city of Bogotá, She was given in adoption at the Fana Foundation, my name is Blanca Elvira Ávila Gaitán
245. Solvillegas : hola. I was born in el barrio de buenos aires en medellin colombia on april 30, 1975. I do not have any details of my birth parents, only that the birth mom was a teenager and the birth father was older in medical school. She was sent to a convent that was near the hospital in buenos aires, and at the time it was owned by the nuns. They used to arrange adoptions and my mom worked with the nuns to adopt me and all my birth records show my adopted parents as my only parents. I found this out a few months after my mom passed away in 2006. My dad was not aware of any details of the birth parents. The following year, I went to the hospital to try to find out about any potential records, but they said any records from the ’70s were no longer at the hospital. I did not pursue further as I had to return back to the US. I am curious to know if my birth mother is ok and hopefully she has lived a peaceful life as this must have been extremely traumatic for her. My parents moved to the US when I was very young, but I go to Colombia often and I am very close to my family. I am also curious to know if I have any siblings.

I remember nuns in the orphanage, and a small church area. I was adopted in 1982-83. I was about 4-5 yrs old. My brother (not blood related), Cesar Alejandro was adopted from a different orphanage the same time I was. He’s about a year older than me. I have read so many similar stories that I would love to find some answers. My adoptive parents were abusive at times and have never gotten much information. I have been trying to upload a picture to my profile...

I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
