Mssue : My name was Luis Antonio Bayona Fonce (11/3/1986) and I was adopted from San Gil, Colombia along with one of my 3 older sisters whose name was Maria Elena Fonce Duarte (11/30/1985) in 1988 by the same family in New Jersey. Shortly after another older sister age 7 was adopted by another family in NJ. Her name or that of the other older sister was Arianna. 306. MarthaZapata1972 : I was born to Aurora Zapata and Ernando Guerrero. My adoption took place in Bogotá Colombia. The year I was adopted was December 1985. I was 11 years old. My birthday is either December 8th or December 27 th 1972 (my aunt Gloria told me it was on the 27th) I’m not for sure on the actual day. On my fathers side of the family I had two aunts named Pilar and Gloria. Uncles I had 3 or four uncles I’m not sure of names, but don’t recall names. I grew up going back and fourth between my grand mother on my fathers side, father and girlfriend, bienestar( one known as Central Juvenile Antonia Santos) and finale days Los Pisingos. I met my grandmother on my mother’s side one time don’t remember her name. Felt she did not have a good relation with my mother. I had a brother who passed away when 2 or 3 from mother. Father had a daughter with girlfriend. Their names are unknown. Father was killed for braking in someone’s business. Unknown when, but I was between the Age of 7-9 don’t recall much more other than I was kept from my mother by my father and his family for selfish reasons.

I have very little information about my parents other than my father was studying Dentistry (and from Spain) and my mothers family owned a clothing store ( I think). I went through a closed adoption process with a company that is no longer in service. Since my parents were not married and far too young, my mothers family side decided to give me up for a better life. It proved to work as I was placed in the care of an amazing family who provided me all the needs an adolescent could need in the suburbs of New York. But there was always that missing part. It started as a child when I couldn’t understand why I didn’t like look all the other families. I think this lead to a ton of self identity issues that I still deal with daily, but it’s 2020. Covid is here, why wait? Mom if you’re out there please reach out someway to let me know you are OK. Life has become so insane, a little clarity and peace would go a long way. I told myself on my 12th birthday I would come find you and give you the biggest hug ever. I turn 28 in two weeks and I still have yet to fulfill this promise.
