A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Western Cape Who Chose To Be Featured

271. AnneLambton : My birth mother is Kaye Lambton and I am looking for my birth father. Apparently his name is Arend Arendse. He doesn’t know I was born‚ would just like to meet him that is all. Kaye Lambton is currently 59 years old and she met him at some sort of technical school so I have heard.

272. Elsas : Mowbray hospital

273. Sarf29 : I’m looking for my birth mother‚ er name is farieda elles I’m not sure if the surname is spelled correctly

274. HarryO : Looking to try find a 1/2 brother that my mother only told us about just before she passed away. Unfortunately I don’t have much to go on - He would have been born to Mary Maude Brotherton in the early 1950’s and was forcibly adopted out at birth - sort of thing that happened to single mothers in those days. Not sure which hospital but assume it’s in the JHB area as they lived in Witchwood‚ Germiston. If he wants to know about her will I gladly fill the gaps. Also mom never forgave herself for it and carried a lot of guilt throughout her life and I would like him to know that. As soon as she told us all the depression and sadness made a lot more sense. I believe that the birth & adoption records are sealed so I will not be able to access them - is this correct? Here’s hoping?

275. StevenVanDenVyver : I am hoping to make contact with my birth mother Maria Cornelius Van Den Vyver who stayed at the Mary Rolt Hostel in Mowbray‚Wynberg and gave birth to me at the Peninsula Maternity Hospital in Cape Town on 16th November‚ 1954. I was adopted within 10 days‚ by a Jewish couple and the doctor who co-ordinated the adoption was Dr. H. Savadier of Rondebosch. My birth surname appears to be spelt on some documents either as Van Den or Der Vyver. I discovered‚ by chance‚ at the ageof 30 that I was an adopted child. I am now 67.

276. Eugene82 : I would like to locate my deceased mothers biological parents

277. Martinmmsmith : I am looking for my husbands father. He already met his biological Mom. Our sons would like to know if there are any nephew’s and nieces‚ and or course they want to know about their grand parents as well. The story we have from my husbands adopted parents‚ is that the father initials was M.M.M. Smith. His adopted mother also said that she remembered the fathers address as Stellenbosch. Church street number 10.the impression what we have is that the adoption was done on certain terms. Example‚ the pregnant mom stayed in a home for pregnant mothers and the fathers family paid for that costs. There was also mentioning that the father was the son of a farmer‚ which did not want his son to marry the pregnant mom. They were both very young. The sister of my husbands adopted father knew more about the adoption. It seems that she did not want us to know who the father was. When my husbands father died‚ the same aunt took me to a separate room after the funeral. She asked me if I want to meet my husbands real grandmother. Of course I wanted to. There was not much words and moment was kept short. I always thought afterwards that perhaps his real mother was at that funeral also. The adopted mothers name is Joey. I cannot remember her surname or age. My husband met her a few years back after I managed to found her. My one son‚ 28 years old‚ recently became depressed and distressed about the idea that his surname is Muller‚ but his blood is not Muller. He never thought about it in that way. He now has the same urge as my husband to know where he come from. He was also diagnosed with glaucoma at this young age. We wondered if this is perhaps a family illness from the biological parents. And me as a mother‚ my boys blood family is out there and we would love to meet them‚ of course only if they were willing.

278. Chaneljade1274 : Hi I’m looking for my birth mother Kathleen Albertina Johanna Pretorius birth date 16/01/75 we have been seperated long ago when I was still little and I would like to find her

My mother says he was a very absuive person and when he found that she was pregnant he told her he wants nothing to do with her and that he hope she and her baby dies. But i have recently been diagnosed with Gilbert’s syndrome which affects the liver and doctors say they only way for me to have gotten it is through family members and no one on my mothers side has got it which means it must be from my dads side so now more than ever i really would like to me him and find out who he is and if we have anything else in common.
