195. ShereenW : Olive Wiehahn Steyn? Children: Patsy? John? Monica.
Hi, searching for my mom’s family from Cape Town, South Africa. Monica Steyn Wiehahn (Petersen) (Pfaff), now 80.
Her mother Olive.
Her younger sister Patricia (Patsy, red hair).
Her brother John (youngest, blond, raised by the Isaacs in Woodstock, RSA).
Family had to split up in around 1942. Olive flew to Scotland when Monica, Patsy, John were about 6, 4, 2. Olive brought Patsy, 2, back from England soon after.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
