He was adopted as a baby by Francis Vimpany 11/06/1910 and Kate Amelia Vimpany nee Bishop. 05/07/1910 both of launceston tasmania. This was quite a taboo subject growing up and was basically off limits. 158. ST1937 : My father was adopted‚ I’m not sure it all worked out. His birth mother adopted him out to her sister so he thought his birth mother was his aunty‚ it was really his grandmother. He grew up around the Eastern shore area‚ with his adopted mother and father. Then I came along years later. It was all a big secret until I turned 18.
