Was adopted by loving family when boy was 18 months - two years old maybe in 1957/58. Have heard child lived with birth mother until approx 12 - 18 months old and was placed for adoption as her circumstances changed. Child may have had original name similar to Garth or Gareth. PLEASE contact if you know anything. Do not have original birth certificate or names of birth parents as now living in Canada.
6. Leo09 : My son was born at the Masterton hospital as I was living in the Wairarapa with my oldest sister and family at this time. He was adopted within 2 weeks of me giving birth to him. I do remember being able to bottle feed him. After 18 years‚ I received a letter from the Department of Social Welfare letting me know there had been no contact from him as I had rung on his 18th birthday to leave information for him. They did let me know when they had last visited James Patrick (his adopted name) he had settled in well and was a happy and dearly loved wee chap. His parents were Patrick and Stephanie. They were aged 25 and 26 and had been married for 2 years when they adopted him.

BARCLAY54 : Im looking for my half brother maybe called Ian he was born to my mother Valerie Mary Barclay he was born in Bethany Hospital wellington between the years of maybe 1958 to 1960 guessing I belive he was adopted to a couple maybe in Auckland I know he may have a child of his own and that he did try and make contact with my mother in Nelson maybe 20 years ago he may be dark skinned and blue eyes as his father may of been a greek doctor as Val was a nurse in training in wellington. Mum was I belive only seventeen and the father was already married which mum never knew till after the pregnancy.Plese if anyone may know of this person he has three siblings that would dearly love to meet him.

So far there are 4 boys to the woman Robert married and 3 adopted children, we are aware that there is at least 2 more children out there somewhere. The information we have is Chic-France probably born before 1965 and Roxanne-China probably born between 1969 and 1970. I have no idea how accurate this information is as it was discovered on a piece of paper after Roberts death.

13. OriginallyKiwi : I was born on the 20th Feb 1969, in Lower Hutt, N.Z. The details on my birth certificate state my birth mothers name is Kathleen Flynn and she was 27 at the time of my birth and named me Francis Flynn at the time of my birth.
