26. Emma_May : I am searching for my grandparents so that my mother can finally get some closure, or gain a new family. As far as we know my mother was born out of wedlock as Caroline Hurst in Wellington to Mary Ann. Mary was from Gravesend, Kent, but lived in Nelson and was a telephonist. We have found no trail for Mary Ann, so we are unsure if this name is real. She was 18 when she gave birth in Wellington, before going back to Nelson. My mother’s father, who also lived in Nelson was 18 years old, olive skinned, deaf in one ear and was a mechanic who wanted to keep my mother. Any information would be amazing thank you!
