A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Gloucestershire Who Chose To Be Featured
151. Rgorton : Birth mother was Gillian Ivy Gorton
152. Turbogirl7988 : My Nan Agnes Lynn Kane adopted one child out that I know of. I only know as I found them via dna on ancestry. Her birth date was 16/11/1917
She gave birth to my dad a year later and he stayed in the family.
I believe there may be at least one other child that was adopted but can’t be sure
153. KarenS1968 : I’m trying to find my cousin. A girl who was born and adopted in the UK in the sixties. Her mother was a nurse and the father was my uncle James Mulholland. She was named Cliona. We’ve always been looking for her and would love to get in touch. Karen
154. Katrinahumphries : I am searching for my niece Kathryn Susan Palin. My brother is her father. Kathryn was born in St Helier’s Hospital in Carshalton, Surrey on 8/6/71. I don’t know where Kathryn was put up for adoption but soon after birth I believe. Possibly in Surrey, Bristol or Gloucestershire. Where are you Kathryn now?
156. Wilrc6 : I met my father Steve Wilson for the first time when I was 16 (2001). He told me that he had another son born around 1990-1992 but the mother had him adopted at around the age of 2 - or at least that is what she told him. I have hardly any information about my brother and am not in contact with my father. All I know is that his name was Luke, possibly Wilson as surname. He would have been born in Gloucestershire, possibly Stroud area around 1990-1992. Its like looking for a needle in a haystack but you never know.
163. Grandparog : Birth mother‚ Hilda Isobel Jones‚ living in Gloucester‚ Parkend Road around 1960. Probable child born in Gloucester Infirmary in Southgate Street.
164. Powerrach : I am searching for my half brother born to Joan Kennedy in England on 15th April 1962. I’m not sure where the Adoption took place but think around Birmingham.
165. Canorton19 : My half brother was born to my father‚ John Norton‚ who at the time was an American serviceman‚ stationed with the US Air Force at RAF Fairford.
His girlfriend‚ who is/was British‚ was a nurse. Her name was Ann Day. Sadly‚ they split before the baby was born‚ and he was given into adoption at birth.
I do not know where he was born‚ but suspect it was in or near Cirencester. My father believes he was born in late January or February 1963.
I was born in America‚ but reside in the U.K. and would like to find my brother very much indeed.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
