196. MaiMhambo : Birth father Colin HORSFIELD [DNA verified] - served British Army 27+ years from c1959 in various postings including overseas & latterly in Special Forces. BUT eventually based in / retired to Preston Lancashire. Has known legitimate children and his wife believes him have 5+ illegitimate children, some adopted [like myself] and some not [like my DNA identified half sibling] - so there are at least 3 others ’out there’. The online form only allows a limited range of years but quite simply these children could be born into the 1980s. So very general and not very helpful overview.
197. ChristinaMB : Hello.
I was born 12th May 1974 at Upton Court Hospital, Slough, Berkshire.
I am searching for my birth father whose name, I have been told, is David Gibson.
He was 33 years old when I was born I believe.
My mother, Lynne, was only 18 and left me in my fathers care.
He had to return to work and put me into the care of a children’s home in Reading (I think), and unfortunately decided a few months down the line that it would be best for me to be adopted.
I was placed with a wonderful couple and formally adopted in September 1977.

210. StephenRoskilly : My mother‚ Daphne Ashworth‚ married to Eric Ford in 1948‚ apparently had a female child before marriage‚ who was given up for adoption after birth. I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
