House and my father was in the merchant navy.
160. Deardaya : Just before she died‚ my mother hinted very strongly to me that there was a pregnancy before me. (I had believed that I was first born). The time would have most likely have been the later half of the 1940s. Certainly before 1955 at the latest. Much more likely 40s. My mother had at least one GI boyfriend. There was one she was writing too after the war‚ but I know her parents started to intercept the letters. She lived in Bristol‚ England.
Her mother’s family were from the Cotswolds‚ near stroud. (Possibly somewhere she might be able to hide). I have nothing to go on except my mother’s name. Surname Dixon. This might have been on an original birth certificate. My DNA is on the heritage site. Its not on ancestry at the moment.
I know it’s a long shot but nothing ventured as they say.
