213. Lesleywoodman : I adopted my daughter born Sept 5th ‚ 2006 from an orphanage in Vung tau she was 2 1/2 years old when her mother left her at the orphanage. Her mother was an identical twin and approximately 6 months earlier her sister ( my daughters aunt) had placed a baby boy for adoption we believe he went to montreal canada. My daughter was named Ngan ngoc thi nguyen by her birth mother. She was very much loved by her mother who left her on the steps of the social services office with a bag of clothes and a note. Mother lived in a village and as Ngan was not born in a hospital her mother could not "legally" place her for adoption- having no papers of her birth. So she structured the abandonment and left her daughter for the authorities to assume responsibility. Mom was21 when she had Ngan and 23 when she left her . We have photos of mom‚ auntie‚ baby cousin‚ and the letter from mom to ngan.
