181. GGM_9999HIIslandLife : I am trying to find my half brother that my Bio Father fathered during or soon after the Vietnam War. I estimate that he is 10 or 11 months to 2 years older than me or possibly 10 or 11 months to 2 years younger than me. I was born in Summer of 1969. Our Bio Father was in the Army a soldier and Cook as he may have been in trouble some with issues with his commanding officers and assigned to the kitchen for getting into trouble or arguing with someone.
I was told about my half brother when I was 5-6 yrs old and shown a picture of him he was wearing a red and white sweater and blue jeans it was an 8 x 10 I believe.I It looked like the American School type photograph that children take on picture day. You are Caucasian from my father and other linages and Vietnamese or mixed race from your mother. I have seen a photo of his mother in black and white she was wearing a dress that looked white and it had big flowers on it. She was standing outside a very small white house with our Bio Father standing on the side against a railing. I asked my Bio Father what color it was he said the dress had pink flowers. His mother was very beautiful with very long dark hair and she was very pregnant in the photo. I know she contacted my Bio Father at least 2-3 times asking for help and he would just be hateful and hang up. I am not sure that you were kept by your mother‚ put up for Adoption or put into an orphanage. I do know that once many of the American Soldiers from Militaries left Vietnam many of the children that were mixed race and fathered by American Soldiers were given up for Adoption and/or left on steps or gates at the Orphanages in Vietnam or relocated with other family out of Vietnam.
I have been looking for you for most of my life. Our Father would never tell me your Mothers Name nor your name or show me any of the documents he had pertaining to you and your mother. I have no idea if you even know you have a sister. The family name for my Bio Father is Harris. His family and he resided in Oklahoma and have for many years living in a very small town in the country.
If my half brother has had contact with my Bio Father it is very possible he has been lied to about me and may not even know I exist or has been told I want nothing to do with you. This is not true I would like very much to try to find him and find out if he is still living and would consider getting to know each other. I understand if you do not wish to contact or know this side of your bio fathers family. Our Bio Father was a very complicated person to even like and know. But‚ if you have questions due to medical health reasons or about his side of the family I would like to talk to you.
