179. KarenFAnderson : Looking for Olena or Galena Sagandocova, in the village of Makariv, Ukraine. 45 minutes west of Keiv. She walks with a limp after being in a car accident prior to Olga’s birth and is likely in her 50’s now.
There is a half brother, either Alec or Alex Sagandocov who would currently be about 30 to 31 years old. As a young boy, age 8-9, he was put in a juvenile detention center. This was at the time that the authorities came and removed the two children from the home. Ms. Sagandocova was leaving the young children at home alone and without food.
Olga was between the age of 12-14 months at the time of removal. Birth mother signed over rights to the children. Olga was adopted on Feb 1, 2002 at age 3 1/2. She was the first child to be adopted out of the Makariv orphange.
