203. Nataliepav : My mum had a child when she was just 15 I think in either 1969 or 1972 I don't know which. She was taken 2 weeks after birth from my mum to somebody in Southampton that my nan knew both have passed away. My sister went to a couple who couldn't have children and when I was 11 I remember her coming to meet the family I have never seen her again I don't know where she went but I know she grew up in Southampton and her name became Lucy bishop any help on finding someone that knows something or even point me in the direction of where to start looking. 204. PLock1971 : Born Lisa Marie Copeland in Swindon PMH she is now 41 years old. She was adopted aged 2 and lived in Corsham with her adoptive parents and adopted brother. We breifly reconnected when she was 18 when I worked for SBC. Lisa loved dancing and moved to Reading with her then boyfreind Iain Lunt who was in the army. I traced Iain via FB but he told me they hadnt spoken since 2002. He said he would pass my message to a joint contact but this was over 1 year ago and I havent heard anything. It maybe she didnt get the message or she doesnt want contact but I need to know for sure. .
The first time we reconnected it was amazing but it all became overwhelming when other family became involved and I was struggling abit with all the emotions it had brought up good and bad.
I also want the opportunity to say sorry if it was our last phone call 23 years ago is what caused you to back off. Looking back you were only 18 and it was alot for me to get my head around let alone you. So i am sorry and I live with silent regret everytime I think of you.
We are both dyslexia and no matter how hard I try I cant remember your adoptive surname. So although I have made attempts to find you they havent worked. I did contact your old boyfreind which I found using a change of address letter i found when sorting out stuff. You sent it me when you first moved to reading but it didnt have your name on. Just the address and that is how I was able to find Iain. I reached out to him on FB in hope of helping me reconnect with you but he said he hadnt spoken to you since 2002. He agreed to forward my message to a joint contact you had but I never heard anything back and that was over a year ago now.
Lisa I have never forgotten you and I live with sadness that our last phone call was the last contact we had and that I may have lost my one opportunity to build a relationship with you and have you in my life.
I would love to try reconnecting again with you Lisa no expectations no pressure just to know how you are and to at least be able to wish you happy birthday‚ christmas etc. I hope you are happy and settled. I am still married to Kev and your nephew Martin who now 38 also has a daughter who is nearly 16 she is beautiful and im guessing you to may have had a family by now.
I really hope that now we are older and wiser we can navigate any challeneges that may come with reconnecting as siblings that didnt get the opportunity to grow up together.
I just want you to know I love you as a sister‚ I always have and always will and I am sorry that the first time we reconnected that it stopped so abruptly and that neither of us got the happy ending we deserved at that time. I really would like to try again‚ just me and you no outside noise or pressure to have a relationship with other members of our birth family or even with eachother if thats not ehat you want or we find we are too different as people. Although I would hope at least to keep in touch via facebook.
If your wondering why now I guess I have for many years allowed myself to think if you wanted to get in touch you would. However‚ I started a new job two years ago and I went on a bit of a self discovery journey. I realised then you could be thinking the same way I was. That if I didnt try more years could be lost when too many years have been lost already.
I hope we can have some form of connection as sisters even if its just to connect on FB and send each other the odd FB message etc. Just something‚ anything would be lovely just to have you in my life again in some way.
