She named me Kenneth Ian Smith on my original birth certificate, born 28th August 1946 at Westow, North Yorkshire (Buckrose). My biological father’s name is unknown, Vera not being married at that time. She later married in 1947 and assumed surname Fisher. I had been adopted (privately) shortly after birth and became Kenneth John Mitchell. Vera’s husband (Fisher) is unaware of my existence, as are any other members of that family. I am seeking to find my biological father’s name plus any other information.
233. Nikkini : I am looking for my 3 half siblings. Their father was Roger Lindsey/Stewart and he lived in Leeds, Selby and Derby. He married Ivy Johnson in 1954 and their son Barrie Lindsey was born a few months later, Barrie was given up for adoption at around 6 weeks old. 18 months later a sister to Barrie was born, her name was Donna Michelle Lindsey and again she was given up for adoption a few weeks later. Both children were born in York maternity hospital. In 1961 Roger married again, this time to Rosemarie Gregory. They had 2 children and then a 3rd in 1965/6 called Michelle Lindsey and again she was given up for adoption in the Derby area.
